Celeste johnson is currently serving as associate professor of oboe at the university of missouri kansas city conservatory.

Johnson has performed as a substitute with the kansas city symphony and was formerly a member of the tulsa symphony orchestra. Celeste held the same title at oklahoma state university where she taught from 2004 2016. Celeste johnson frehner is currently the associate professor of oboe at oklahoma state university and a member of the tulsa symphony orchestra. She is the president of the midwest double reed society and travels to south america several times a year as the oboe faculty member of the colombian youth philharmonic. She has recently presented performances and clinics at international double reed society conferences as well as the oklahoma and texas music educators conferences.
